We Delight

We delight, before we desire...

Often times i would caught myself asking God for things that i desire, i would often hear people praying over other person that he or she would grant his or her hearts desire, sometimes i wonder, if what we desire is truly what we deserve, or the things that we deserved, are the things that we desire?

As we walk in our journey with God, we get to encounter a lot of wonderful opportunities, events, frustration and situation that would taught us of how it is to be truly dedicated to God. Events happen in our lives, and situation manifest, and sometimes, if not all the time, these are events that would make us asked, be grateful, or even wonder, a lot of times we would ask ourselves, why is it that when we come to know God, it is when we encounter great difficulties in our lives, and would ask why bad things happen to good people? while others rejoice...

Being in community and mission work made me see things, events and situation in the lives of a lot of people, i have seen people tribe in their most difficult situation, i have seen individuals who rejoice in sufferings, i have seen individuals too, who asked God why such things happen. Life with God is a journey, it has it`s highs and lows, its mountain top experience and valley experience, what matters is how we respond to events in our lives, and how we delight amidst difficulty and challenges, and how we recognized and rejoice in the many victories God is doing in our lives.

But i guess, the right posture is we DELIGHT all the time, even if things does not fall the way we projected it, or planned for it, for it is in delighting that we get to recognized, and appreciate the hand of God at work, and while we delight, we surrender to God our desires, knowing that he is ever present, ever active, and very much involved in our lives...

We delight, before we desire...
