Casting a Bigger Net

We are all called to share Christ to others. We are commissioned by God to spread His word so that many would hear the good news. Jesus is a carpenters son, but he never limit Himself to share the word to the fishermen, tax collector, and the teachers of the law. He gave Himself fully so that everyone would get to experience the good news, even to the point of death.

We are challenge to lower down are nets. We are called to share Jesus in whatever situation we are in, in whatever circumstance, in whatever event. Part of lowering the net is the challenge to deepen the faith, to live out a life that is centered on Him, manifested by the kind of life that we possess and live. That as we lower our nets, we also deepen that desire to discover more of Him, and in that discovery we get to be affirmed, and find the very meaning of who we are, to love Him with all of our hearts, mind, soul and strength, and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.

Casting the bigger net might entail challenges, frustrations, and uncomfortable event, but surely, it can also bring out the best in us, experiencing joy and peace knowing that as we lower the net, we have Jesus in us, and in that presence of Jesus in our lives, we get to be confident to share Him to other people.
